LAGRANGE COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): A Michigan man was arrested in LaGrange on Thursday night after police say a K-9 unit smelled meth in his truck.

Travis Borgert of Sturgis, Mich. was arrested on preliminary felony charges of possession of meth, maintaining a common nuisance and operating a vehicle while intoxicated, according to the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department.

At about 11:30 p.m. Thursday, police pulled over a maroon Dodge truck at the intersection of SR 9 and CR 400 N in LaGrange for a traffic violation.

During the traffic stop, the officer noticed something off about the suspect, so a K-9 unit was used to search around the vehicle.
