National College in Fort Wayne Hosting Free Health Fair

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Looking to get off to a healthy start this cold and flu season? If so, National College’s free Health Expo, taking place from 12:00 p.m., until 3:00 p.m., on Thursday, November 20, is for you.

The event will be held at the campus located on North Clinton Street near the intersection of Clinton and Washington Center.

Our flu shot clinic in October was such a great success that we thought we would make our next event bigger and better,” said campus director Judith Matlin. “In addition to flu shots, we’ve brought together nearly two dozen community partners who will be offering a variety of services and information.”

Walgreens will be providing flu shots to all while supplies last (those with Medicare, Medicaid, or private insurance should bring their insurance cards to the event).

National College medical assisting students will be on hand to provide blood pressure screenings. Other participants that will be at the expo include, the Allen County Department of Health, Boys and Girls Clubs, Fresh Thyme, Hope for Animals/Pet Food Pantry, , Wal-Mart Vision Center, and the YWCA.
