New Haven man arrested in connection to I-469 hit and run crash

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A New Haven man was arrested on Tuesday in connection to a hit and run crash that seriously injured a construction worker.

Roger Caley, 64, was arrested on two preliminary charges of leaving the scene of a crash, according to the Allen County Sheriff’s Department.

At about 11:25 a.m. Monday, the victim was on I-469 a couple miles east of U.S. 27. While he was working a red Ford pick-up truck hit him.

As of Tuesday afternoon, the victim was still listed in critical condition.

All I-469 lanes were shut down between Marion Center and U.S. 27 for a couple hours on Monday.
