Northern Indiana Man Run Over by Antique Tractor, Dies

DENVER, Ind. (AP) – Northern Indiana police say a 73-year-old man died when the rear wheel of an antique tractor he was restoring shifted and ran over him.

Miami County police say James G. See used his cell phone to call 911 after Tuesday's accident and told police he had been run over by a tractor. See was awake and alert when medical personnel arrived at his residence in the town of Denver about 40 miles southwest of Fort Wayne.

But the Kokomo Tribune reports (http://bit.ly/1K0hUbq ) that See died from internal injuries shortly after being airlifted to a Fort Wayne hospital.

Deputies found that See was in the process of restoring an antique tractor when the tractor's rear wheel began to move and ran over his upper body.
