FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A long-time firefighter is receiving a promotion.
In ceremonies Monday, 19-year-veteran Adam O'Conner will assume the role of Deputy Chief of Operations. O'Conner has been a member of the technical rescue and hazardous materials teams.
He's also been instructor at the fire academy. He also served as assistant chief of operations in 2011-12.
He's served as firefighter, Lieutenant and captain. He's a graduate of Purdue University and IPFW.
