Ohio State Highway Patrol Chases Driver with Stolen Vehicle

DEFIANCE COUNTY, OHIO (WOWO): The Ohio State Highway Patrol chased down a man who was driving a stolen vehicle in Defiance County on Friday morning. According to a press release, the driver was involved in a hit-skip crash with the vehicle and later, fled the scene.

28-year-old Tyler Kunsman was driving a 2004 Ford pick-up when he was involved in a crash in Williams Center. He left on US-6 and then, onto State Route 15.

Police chased Kunsman for nearly 20 minutes before he was pulled over at the intersection of Lockwood Road and Coy Road in Delaware Township.

He was taken into custody and transported to the hospital for further observation.

Police discovered the pick-up truck had been stolen from the city of Bryan. Kunsman faces pending charges.

No word on the initial crash involving Kunsman.
