INDIANAPOLIS (AP): Police say a news crew for an Indianapolis television station was threatened by a gunman who stole a station vehicle.
City police spokesman Officer Rafael Diaz says the crew from WXIN-TV was at the scene of a prayer vigil for shooting victims on the city's east side Tuesday night when the gunman approached the station's SUV.
Diaz tells The Indianapolis Star the station's camera man tried to offer the gunman money, but he ordered the employees from the SUV and drove it away. Diaz says the vehicle was found a few blocks away with some personal items missing but no station equipment apparently stolen.
A statement on WXIN's website says its employees are safe and that it is working with investigators.
