FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) — Flu season is creeping closer, and Ohio health officials say RSV and COVID are likely to spike right alongside it.

While cases are currently low, doctors say now is the time to get ahead.

The state is urging everyone six months and older to get a flu shot.

RSV is particularly risky for babies, but a maternal vaccine or infant immunization can help.

Doctors say vaccines are safe – and the most effective way to stay out of the ICU.
