Samaritan’s Feet Benefits Children of Fort Wayne

FORT WAYNE Ind. (WOWO): Nearly 300 Fort Wayne children and teenagers from the Boys & Girls Clubs of Fort Wayne and the Euell WIlson Center will be given new shoes.

It's called the Samaritan's Feet event, benefiting local children who may not be able to afford their own shoes. The Boys & Girls Club of Fort Wayne Fairfield Club will be hosting the event this afternoon at their location on Fiarfield Ave.

Volunteers with the Northeastern Indiana Credit Union Chapter (NEICUC) partnered with Samaritan's feet, a humanitarian aid organization that looks to enlighten the community with hope, through washing the feet of children and adorning them with new shoes.

According to a press release, Samaritan's Feet estimates there are about 300 million children who go without shoes everyday.
