Saturday morning shooting leaves man in serious condition

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A man was shot in the face in a shooting near downtown Fort Wayne.

The shooting took place at about 12:45 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of St. Mary’s Avenue and High Street, the Journal-Gazette is reporting.

Two men got into an argument after one of them accused the other of driving badly near his home. The homeowner went back into his house, grabbed a shotgun, and then fired a shot into the other man’s car, striking him in the face in the process.

The shooting victim was taken to a local hospital in serious condition. The shooter has been initially charged with aggravated battery. Police are still investigating.
