FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Yesterday may have been Easter, but a growing number of Millennials are having less to do with religion.

Research done by the Barna Group show that people ages 14 to 32 are becoming more and more distant from religious faith, with almost sixty percent of those who grow up in Christian churches either walking away from their faith entirely or at least leaving the church as an institution.

According to our partners in news at 21Alive, the research says Millennials say they don’t think churches are making efforts to help them build meaningful relationships with others within the church, as well as a perceived lack of opportunities to “contribute to society.”
