INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (WOWO) — Indiana judges and judicial officers will visit schools and civic groups across the state this month as part of Indiana’s Constitution Day program.
Forty-eight judicial officers are expected to meet with more than 4,300 students and community members around Constitution Day, which is September 17. The program commemorates the signing of the U.S. Constitution on September 17, 1787.
In northeast Indiana, Senior Judge Wendy Davis is scheduled to visit East Allen County Schools. In Adams County, Judges Sam Conrad and Chad Kukelhan will make visits to several schools, including Adams Central, Bellmont Elementary, South Adams Elementary and several Lutheran and Catholic schools.
Judges and judicial officers will also visit schools and universities in counties across Indiana, including Allen, Elkhart, Hamilton, Lake, Marion, Porter, St. Joseph and Tippecanoe counties.
The visits are designed to give students and community members an opportunity to learn directly from members of Indiana’s judiciary about the Constitution and the role of the courts.
