Stutzman Statement on 50th Anniversary of “I Have a Dream Speech”

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): This afternoon, U.S. Congressman Marlin Stutzman issued the following statement on the 50th Anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. delivering his “I Have a Dream Speech” on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial during the March on Washington:

“Through the years, like the Declaration of Independence and the Gettysburg Address, Dr. King’s message of equality has lost no force. Today, as we celebrate the 50th anniversary of his historic speech, we must remember that the work of justice is never complete. As we celebrate Dr. King’s achievements and reflect on his legacy, we renew our commitment as Americans to individual freedom and dignity for all.”
