FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Fort Wayne Police are searching for a man accused of stealing a large amount of ammunition from an unlocked vehicle.

At about 11:45 p.m. Tuesday, police responded to a theft on St. Mary’s Street near Third Street.

Six AR-15 magazines, a tactical three-mag pouch and 80 rounds of ammunition were taken from a vehicle, police said.

A thin man wearing a dark oversized jacket and hood was seen running south in a nearby alley carrying a case from the vehicle.

Anyone with information about the theft is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 260-436-STOP (7867).
