Tincaps Get Ready for Season Opener

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The Fort Wayne Tincaps are getting ready for the 2015 season. Monday players got their first taste of Parkview Field.

Many of the names will be familiar. Ten former TinCap players return including infielder Josh Van Meter, a graduate of Norwell High School in nearby Ossian. Another Hoosier T.J. Weir. of Kokomo is a pitcher. 

Team officials say much of the game experience remains the same, but, they’ll have some new feature nights. He says there’ll also be a new food option — a cart an Asian Food Cart titled Intentional Wok.

They’ll hit the road Thursday for a series with Great Lakes, they’ll return for the home opener, Sunday afternoon at 4:05 p.m.
