Video of Attack on Girl at Indy Park Brings in Record Tips

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) _ Crime Stoppers of Central Indiana says it's been inundated with tips after a video showing a 14-year-old girl attacking another girl and her younger brother at an Indianapolis park was posted online.

The video appeared Saturday on LiveLeak.com. It shows the teenager hitting and kicking the other girl and tossing the boy to the ground.

Indianapolis police have arrested the 14-year-old on unrelated charges. The victim told police she knew her assailant from school.

Crime Stoppers director Steve DuBois tells The Indianapolis Star the video generated 230 tips in 48 hours. That's more than any other case his agency has handled. Most came from the Internet and contained information to help police find those depicted in the video.

The victim's stepfather tells WTHR-TV she wasn't injured.
