FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A Northrop High School student is being rewarded for heroism.

15-year-old Rashaad Moore was at the Walmart on Dupont and Lima Sunday with a friend when the friend had a medical episode. Moore acted quickly to perform CPR, saving his friend’s life. Store manager Darlene Walker says Moore’s heroism inspired them to reach out.

“It’s an amazing ordeal. This young man took control and went to help another human being,” Walker says. “That doesn’t happen often.”

Moore was surprised with a 50″ TV at Northrop High School this afternoon, which Walker says is “befitting to give him something that he probably didn’t have.”
