Washington Out on Bail

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The man who police say was involved in a shooting incident, then slammed his vehicle into another car killing a Bishop Dwenger student, is out of jail.

35-year-old Jeremy Washington was in court Wednesday. According to our partners in news at 21 Alive, Washington made bail, which was set at $130,000.

He was involved in a drunken fight at the Corner Pocket Pub early Saturday morning. The fight moved to the parking lot where shots rang out. Washington then sped away from the crime scene, ignored a red light and slammed his vehicle into a car driven by 17-year-old Haley Nellum. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Washington has been charged with eight felonies.
