WOLCOTTVILLE, Ind.(WOWO): A Wolcottville man was arrested Tuesday night after police say he beat a woman in front of two kids.

Trent Jordan, 38, was arrested on preliminary charges of domestic battery in the presence of a child and interfering with reporting a crime, according to the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department.

Police arrived to the 6000 block of S. 550 E. in Wolcottville at about 9:50 p.m. Police learned that Jordan had physically beat a woman in front of two children under the age of 16.

He also tried to stop the woman from calling police.
