FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Construction has officially begun on the YWCA’s new home in Fort Wayne.

An official groundbreaking was held Wednesday just off Decatur Road for the YWCA’s new home, which will also house their domestic violence crisis shelter, community and education programs, and the “Hope House” division, according to our partners in news at 21 Alive.

The $3.6-million project will let the shelter and Hope House expand, and will also give the Y’s administrative offices a new home. It’s set to open in December.
