GARRETT, Ind. (WOWO): 14-year-old boy is in custody after police say he put a 3-year-old girl named Raelyn in a washer and dryer, causing several bruises.

The girl and her 5-year-old sister were left with a 14-year-old babysitter in June. Some of the boy’s friends allegedly came over after the mom left. At some point, Raeyln was put into a washing machine and into a dryer, the DeKalb County Prosecutor told the Journal-Gazette. The dryer was allegedly turned on multiple times.

When the girl’s mom returned home, she found bruises all over the Raeyln’s body and her apartment was trashed.

A doctor said there are signs of possible sexual abuse and child service will test Raelyn for rape, the girl’s mom said.

After the incident was posted to social media by a family member, #JusticeForRaeyln started trending across the United States.

The Facebook post had reportedly gotten more than 180,000 shares before the original post was removed.
