2 Die In Single Car-Crash On State Route 13 In C. Indiana

PERKINSVILLE, Ind. (AP) _ Authorities say two central Indiana residents have died in a one-car crash on State Route 13 in Hamilton County.

The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office says the crash about 4 a.m. Sunday killed 26-year-old driver Ashley Steger of Arcadia and 24-year-old passenger Matthew Ferge of McCordsville.

Deputies say Steger lost control of her car on a curve, overcorrected, left the road, crossed a creek and crashed into an embankment near the town of Perkinsville, about 30 miles northeast of Indianapolis.

Deputies say it appears neither Steger nor Ferge was wearing a seat belt, and speed may have been a contributing factor in the crash. Toxicology results are pending.
