2 Teens Face Murder Charges After S. Ind. Deaths

CORYDON, Ind. (AP) _ Prosecutors have filed murder charges and other counts against two southern Indiana 18-year-olds in connection with the slayings of a Harrison County man and woman.

Kevin Andrew Schuler of Greenville and Austin Scott of New Albany each were charged Tuesday with two counts of murder and one count each of felony murder, robbery, burglary and theft.

Harrison County Prosecutor Otto Schalk told a news conference in Corydon he might pursue the death penalty against the two.

The teens are accused of killing 70-year-old Gary Henderson and 57-year-old Asenath “Senie'' Arnold during a break-in early Saturday at the rural home the two shared about 15 miles west of Louisville, Ky.

Schuler told investigators he formerly worked for the victims and that he and Scott stole five guns, money and prescription medication.
