300 FWCS Students To Get Free Backpacks, Supplies

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Fort Wayne Community Schools employees will help three hundred students start off the year right.

Several employees will spend the morning Friday packing backpacks with pencils, rulers, books, and other necessities.

The backpacks and supplies are made possible mostly by employee donations throughout the year, along with help from outside organizations and donors.

Elementary school case managers will then distribute the backpacks to students who need them. Anyone who thinks their kid needs a backpack should talk to school staff.
