TinCaps Sign 14 Year Old Jaymason Curry To 1 Day Contract

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO):  Tonight, the Fort Wayne TinCaps will make one young man's dream a reality.

Jaymason Curry, a 14 year old involved with the Elmhurst Little League, has had his struggles over the past several months, but it didn't stop him from accepting a 1-day contract with the Fort Wayne Tincaps.  “We know how it works in baseball.  Nobody can play on the team without a jersey,” and it was that point team president Mike Nutter handed Jaymason his #2 uniform embroidered with his last name.

“We're very appreciative that WOWO and the TinCaps have reached out to us to brighten our summer a little more,” said Torrey Curry, Jaymason's dad.  “He's had a long six months, but we're on the home stretch.”

“Hitting wise, I probably won't hit really far, but I”ll try my best to run the 400 feet,” said Jaymason.

Tonight at the TinCaps game, Jaymason will be invited by the club to join the team during batting practice with a few surprises afterwards at the ballpark.
