FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): If you have a Yahoo account, change your password.

In a statement released online, Yahoo Chief Information Security Officer Bob Lord says a copy of “certain user account information”, including names, email addresses, phone numbers, birth dates, and passwords, was stolen from the company’s network in late 2014 by what they believe is a “state-sponsored actor.”

The company believes at least 500-million user accounts were stolen.

Lord says the company is notifying affected users, taking steps to enhance their systems, and they’re working closely with law enforcement.
