WAYNE COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): A 70-year-old woman was killed and two children were injured in a head-on crash Saturday afternoon.

Deputies say the collision happened on State Road 38 just east of Jacksonburg Road. Investigators determined two vehicles were involved, including a Ford Focus that crossed into oncoming traffic.

The woman, identified as Sue Gettinger, died at the scene. The two children inside the Ford were extricated and taken to area hospitals for treatment.

The crash remains under investigation.
