BAE Systems Negotiates Merger

By Scott Sarvay

Fort Wayne, Ind. (Indiana’s NewsCenter) – Defense, security and aerospace manufacturer BAE announced Wednesday that that long time project partner EADS N.V. (EADS) may become a business partner.

In a joint press release the two companies confirm that they are now in discussions about a possible combination of the businesses. The potential combination would create a world leading international aerospace, defense and security group with substantial centers of manufacturing and technology excellence in the UK, USA, France, Germany and Spain as well as in Australia, India and Saudi Arabia.

There is no certainty on the deal but BAE reassures that they will continue to focus on meeting all of their current commitments.
