Police arrest Grabill man after chase

ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO) — Police arrested a Grabill man Monday after he led them on a chase from Ohio.

Hicksville police say officers were called to a home on High Street on reports of a man threatening a woman just before 2:30 p.m.

Police say 36-year-old Joseph Grubb told the woman inside he was going to break down her door. Grubb was already wanted out of Defiance for two felony warrants.

The suspect fled before officers arrived, but later caught up to him in town, where police attempted a traffic stop. Grubb sped off, racing through Harlan and Grabill before stop sticks were used to bring his Ford Explorer to a halt in a yard.

A brief foot chase ensued, and Grubb was taken to the Allen County Jail, where he’s being held on those two outstanding warrants. He’ll later be turned back to Ohio police for additional charges.
