One Man Dead After Shooting In Vermillion County

VERMILLION COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO) — A man and a woman were shot on Vermillion County’s north side Sunday, which happened on Meridian Road near Perryville.

Deputies say they got a call about the shooting after 5:00 in the afternoon, and they arrived at the scene to check on the victims.

“They immediately started yelling for people inside the residence, they cleared the residence immediately, and located a male subject in a garage with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head,” says Indiana State Police Sergeant Matt Ames.

The man was identified as 30-year-old Garrett Reynolds, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Deputies also found a woman in a pickup truck outside the home. The woman was identified as 27-year-old Tylan Leonard. She was taken to a hospital in Illinois, where she is in bad shape.

“We believe that both individuals, that were involved in the shooting, are the only two individuals that are involved in this domestic situation,” Ames says.

Ames says no suspects or arrests have been reported.
