Fire crews responded to a fire and explosion at Metal Shred Industries in Kendallville Wednesday afternoon.  Witnesses say the flames caused quite a bit of damage to the exterior of the building, but the fire was contained to the back of the facility. However, the explosion itself caused damage to other machinery. No injures were reported.
