St. Joe Woman Charged in Midwifery Case

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (AP) _ A northeastern Indiana woman allegedly practiced midwifery without a license and helped deliver two infants last year that later died. Barbara Parker of St. Joe faces charges that stem from deliveries she performed last August. Parker told investigators she has averaged 60 to 70 deliveries a year over the past five years.
