Toddler Saved By K-9 In New Haven

A police dog is held on a leash.

NEW HAVEN, Ind. (WOWO) — A police K-9 named Millie is being credited with finding a missing two-year-old child.

After a multi-agency search, Millie, a recent addition to the New Haven Police Department’s K-9 squad, located the child approximately 700 yards inside a cornfield.

The successful search and rescue operation last week highlighted Millie’s tracking skills, and the department has praised her for her instrumental role.
