Man Arrested in Frying Pan Beating

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO) – A Fort Wayne man is under arrest in connection with the beating of a 74-year-old man with a frying pan.  The Journal-Gazette says 43-year-old Ben Macon III is charged with felony battery and robbery.  Back on May 12th, the victim had given Macon a ride to his apartment.  A fight later ensued and Macon allegedly hit the man several times with a wooden meat tenderizer and a frying pan.  The victim was robbed of twenty-six dollars.  Macon was being held in the Allen County Jail in lieu of more than $22,000 bail.
