Police Ended A SWAT Standoff In Mishawaka

MISHAWAKA, Ind. (WOWO) — Police ended a SWAT standoff Sunday after rescuing five people and taking one person into custody.

Officers responded to a home on Conner Drive around 8 a.m. for a hostage situation involving three adults and two kids.

Negotiators secured the release of two adults and the kids.

Just after 3:30 p.m., the SWAT team entered the home, rescued the last adult, and took the person responsible into custody.

That person was injured and taken to a hospital. No one being held inside was hurt.
