Off-Duty Sheriff Deputy Dies in Motorcycle Crash

ELWOOD, Ind. (AP) — An off-duty Grant County sheriff's deputy died from injuries suffered in a traffic accident while riding a motorcycle.

The Herald Bulletin reports 49-year-old Michael Andry of Converse was killed Friday afternoon after when he struck a pickup truck after it turned. The driver and passenger of the pickup also were injured.

Madison County Sheriff Ron Richardson says he and Grant County Sheriff Darrell Himelick are coordinating the investigation.
