Fire Department Takes Heat Precautions

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Fire crews were on scene at 8:50 A.M. for a deadly house fire. And while heat indexes soared near 90 this morning, Deputy Fire Chief Mark Nelson says heat always complicates matters. Precautions the fire department takes include rotating crews, setting up relief stations, and monitoring health conditions. This morning's fire is still being investigated.
