Inspector: No ICU for Fort Wayne VA hospital

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A new report says Fort Wayne's VA hospital is unfit for an intensive care unit. The news comes as both Indiana's Third District Congressman Marlin Stutzman and Senator Joe Donnelly called for an investigation.

The report from the regional office of the VA says the center may need to consider what services the medical center is capable of providing or even if it is viable in the future, that's according to the Journal-Gazette.

Last October,  Inpatient care at the hospital was suspended because of internal problems, including staffing and procedures. Some services have since been reinstated. The report says the facility should provide moderate services.
