BROOKLYN PARK, Minn., (WOWO): Unrest in Syria has sparked concerns and its spiking prices in the Midwest.

Patrick DeHaan of GasBuddy.com says fuel prices will soar to around $3.79 a gallon soon.

He says while those prices are temporary, the price per barrel of crude oil has risen to $4 a barrel in the last couple days.

Internationally, that’s the highest its been in more than a year.
