Grease Fire Leaves Minimal Damage

ALLEN COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO) – A grease fire took place at a firefighter’s home on Friday.

Northwest Fire crews responded to the fire quickly, preventing major damage from occurring.

The fireman’s daughter , whose name has not been stated, is credited for allowing the fire to remain in the kitchen rather than throwing water on the grease fire, knowing water would only make the blaze worse.

Reports say about 90 percent of the house remains undamaged, with only minor smoke and water damage.
