FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Fort Wayne Fire Department Investigators have determined yesterday’s duplex fire on Lake Avenue was accidental and electrical in nature.

It sparked Thursday afternoon west of Lakeside Park. Crews arrived to find the back of the home engulfed. The flames were knocked down in about half-an-hour, but there was heavy damage to the home. One firefighter received minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital for observation. Lake was closed to traffic for several hours while crews doused the hot spots.
