FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): The Fort Wayne Komets are now one win away from a series sweep after defeating the Toledo Walleye 4-2 Wednesday night at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum to take a commanding 3-0 lead in the Central Division Finals.

Toledo opened the scoring in the first period before Alex Aleardi answered for the Komets to even the game at 1-1. The Walleye regained the lead in the second period, but Fort Wayne responded once again as Austin Magera tied the contest heading into the third.

Blake Murray gave the Komets their first lead of the night with a goal in the final period, and Matthew Brown sealed the victory with an empty-net goal in the closing minutes.

The series now shifts back to Toledo for Game 4 on Friday night. If necessary, Game 5 would also be played in Toledo. Puck drop Friday is scheduled for 7:15 p.m.
