INDIANAPOLIS (WOWO):  The Indiana Fever return home Friday night looking to build momentum after earning their first win of the season earlier this week.

Indiana hosts the Washington Mystics at Gainbridge Fieldhouse with tipoff scheduled for 7:30 p.m. The game will air nationally on ION, while radio coverage can be heard on WOWO 92.3 FM.

The Fever enter the matchup at 1-1 after defeating the Los Angeles Sparks on Wednesday night. Indiana showed significant improvement defensively after allowing 107 points in its season-opening loss to Dallas, holding Los Angeles to 78 points in the victory.

Caitlin Clark led the Fever with 24 points and nine assists against the Sparks, while Kelsey Mitchell added 23 points. Sophie Cunningham chipped in 12 points and seven rebounds, and veteran forward Monique Billings impressed in her Fever debut with nine points, eight rebounds, and three assists.

Washington also enters Friday’s contest with a 1-1 record. The Mystics have not played since an overtime loss to New York on Sunday after opening the season with a win in Toronto.

Second-year standouts Sonia Citron and Kiki Iriafen have paced Washington early this season. Citron is averaging 21.5 points per game, while Iriafen is averaging a double-double with 16 points and 14 rebounds.

Probable starters for Indiana include Caitlin Clark, Kelsey Mitchell, Sophie Cunningham, Monique Billings, and Aliyah Boston. Washington is expected to start Georgia Amoore, Sonia Citron, Cassandra Prosper, Kiki Iriafen, and Shakira Austin.
