Student Suicide Rate on the Rise at IPFW

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A jump in the number of student suicides at Indiana Prude-Fort Wayne has school officials looking for answers.

George McClellan, vice chancellor for student affairs and enrollment management at IPFW told the Journal Gazette, that since the start of fall classes in late August, IPFW has had three student deaths reported as suicides.

However, the main question no one can seem to answer is: Why?

In the meantime, IPFW officials are adding extra mental health services and reaching out to students with some additional prevention and awareness programs.
