Confinement Officer in Serious Condition After Beating by Inmate

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Confinement officer Quinton Greer was struck in the head several times just before noon on Christmas Day by inmate, Deadrian Boykins. Greer was hospitalized in serious condition, but was upgraded to serious but stable condition.  According to our partners in news at 21 Alive, Greer was attacked in the H block section of the Allen County Jail, an area reserved for violent offenders.  Boykins is in jail for murder, and is being charged with battery to a law enforcement officer, a class C felony.
