Traffic at FWA Up Five Percent in 2013

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO):  Passenger traffic at Fort Wayne International Airport has increased. It went up five percent in 2013, marking the fourth consecutive year for growth.

In 2013, FWA was able to retain its current flight schedule and welcome a new route to Phoenix via Allegiant.

“FWA is the community’s airport. We do all that we can to make sure we’re offering not only the flight options and amenities travelers need but convenient access, clean facilities, and a comfortable atmosphere as well,” said Scott Hinderman, Executive Director of Airports.  “We hope that in 2014 travelers will continue to learn the benefits of flying from their hometown airport.”

In 2014, the Airport Authority will continue efforts to add a northeast U.S. hub destination to the schedule in response to community demand for access to that region of the country.
