FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): A home on the city’s southwest side was badly damaged in a fire late Sunday night.

The FWFD was called on report of smoke coming from a house on Beaver Avenue off of Lexington around 11:30 P.M.

The first unit got to the scene and found fire coming out of the basement of first floor of a two-story home.

Officials say the home was vacant, and no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
