FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WOWO): Mayor Tom Henry has named Carolyn Ovitt as director of human resources for Fort Wayne. Ovitt has been with the City since 2009 in the human resources department leading professional development efforts. Before working in government, Ovitt worked for Lincoln Financial Group, Industrial Innovation, and Workplace Technologies. In a press release sent by the Mayor's office, Mayor Tom Henry said,

“Carolyn’s experience and expertise in human resources and professional development make her a great addition to our leadership team. I look forward to working with Carolyn and her team as we engage, innovate, and perform to meet the needs of our community.”

Ovitt has served as interim director of human resources since January and will begin her duties as director immediately.
