Neglect Death Trial Opens in Marion

MARION, Ind. (WOWO): A Marion man accused of neglect of a toddler last year goes to trial today.

Twenty-Seven year old Donald Riddle is charged with neglect in the death of 2-year-old Arianna Carmack.

The child was found unresponsive in February 2013 with burns and bruises. The child and her mother were staying with Riddle.

If convicted Riddle could serve a sentence of 20 to 50 years for neglect of a dependent. Riddle is also charged with dealing drugs and possession of a controlled substance.
