Kosciusko County Moped Crash Leaves Warsaw Man In Stable Condition

KOSCIUSKO COUNTY, Ind. (WOWO): A moped crash in Kosciusko County has left a Warsaw man in stable condition.

Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department deputies got a call around 5:15 p.m., Friday night to a moped crash on State Road 25 south of County Road 250 South, also referred to as the “Devil's Backbone.”

Officers located the driver, 38-year-old Shannon Hursey of Warsaw, in the roadway suffering from a severe head injury. Hursey was airlifted to the hospital and is currently in stable condition.

Further investigations revealed that Hursey was southbound on State Road 25 driving his moped, when for an unknown reason, he struck a guard rail on the west side of the roadway.

The crash remains under investigation at this time.
